LickiMat Slodog Plate

Most slow feeders work by putting obstructions or maze-like structures to make it difficult for the dog to get to the food. The dog actually has to chase the food around the bowl in order to eat. This can be extremely frustrating to the dog and can cause unnecessary stress and anxiety.

The LickiMat Slodog is a unique approach to slow feeding or anti-gulping. By changing from a bowl to a plate, a much larger surface area becomes available to the feeding dog. All the food is in plain sight and does not have to be chased, avoiding frustration. The meal is naturally split into mini meal pockets on these kind of dog food mats.

Benefits of Using The Slodog Plate

Why use a slow feeder?

With a delicious Raw & Fresh meal in front of our pets they can get excited causing them to eat quickly. Fast eating leads to your pet ingesting a higher volume of air which can cause issues.

With more air being ingested at meal time it has to come out somewhere and we all know a silent but deadly fart from one of our furry friends is never pleasant to be around. There is also a greater risk of your pet suffering from bloat which increases the risk of gastric dilatation and volvulus (flipping of the stomach). A slow dog bowl feeder can reduce the risk of GDV by pacing your pet's eating.

Promotes Improved Dental Health

The LickiMat Slodog's surfaces and pockets promote pleasurable licking for both dogs and cats. The licking action generates saliva that helps protect your pet’s teeth and gums, and can aid digestion as saliva contains enzymes such as Amylase.
